The hisory of Mallorca begins around the year 7,000 a.c., carbon remains found on the island proves the existence of primitive dwellers. The most reknown eras are the pretalayotic which starts in the year 2,000 a.c. and ends in the year 1,300 a.c. which is when the homosapiens that inhabited Mallorca begins to evolutionize significantly, but it is later, in the talayotic period when the most important changes are shown such as the concentration of inhabitants in villages protected by walls.
